POMBORNEIT cricketer Nellie Sadler put on a remarkable display with the ball last weekend.
The talented bowler took a women’s club record of 6/8 from four overs on Sunday against Stoneyford at MCP Oval.
Five of her wickets were bowled while the other was LBW.
After three rounds the side currently sits undefeated on top of the Colac District ladder following last weekend’s victory.
Stoneyford won the toss and elected to bat but were restricted to just 7/19 thanks to the efforts of Sadler and fellow bowler Jessica Moulden who took 1/1 off her five deliveries.
In reply Pomborneit notched up 1/153 from its 20 overs.
Opener Jessica Moulden retired on 32 while captain Sam Coxon added 17 to the scoreboard before being bowled out.
Rachel Dendle (13), Lauren Murphy (14) and Neave Thompson (16) all retired while Lily Van Es (10) and Tayla Reynolds (15) both finished the day unbeaten.
