Members of the Cobden Country Women’s Association (CWA) are inviting locals to sit down for a cuppa and a chat along with their infamous sconesnext week.
Club president Netty Hose said the group was looking forward to hosting a Devonshire tea on Monday, May 2.
The morning tea, which is sure to be filled with tasty delights and good company, will be held at the Cobden Uniting Church Hall between 10.30am and 12noon, with entry just $5 per person.
Mrs Hose said the group would also be hosting a stall filled with homemade items including scones, relish, yo-yos, slices and cakes for people to purchase and take home.
“Come along and enjoy some of our famous scones. We’re not bad cooks when we all get together,” she said.
“We thought a morning tea would be a good way to get people together after COVID."
“This is the first we’ve been able to have since COVID began.”
