September storms deliver high rains

SEPTEMBER was the first month since January where the long-term average rainfall was exceeded.

September saw a total of 87.6mm of rainfall over Cobden, just 0.6mm above the long-term monthly average of 87mm.

The highest daily rainfall for the month was 11.6mm, which fell on September 2.

Just 417.9mm of rain has fallen this year, well down on last year’s total of 588.2mm for the same time frame.
