SHENFIELD House has dominated in the pool to take out this year’s swimming sports shield at Cobden Technical School.


SHENFIELD House has dominated in the pool to take out this year’s swimming sports shield at Cobden Technical School.
Sunshine greeted swimmers and spectators at the pool last Friday week, with many personal bests achieved and three records broken on the day.
Congratulations to Tabitha Perris who set a new 100m freestyle record for the under 16 girls in a time of 1:35.0; Jesse Wason under 17 boys 100m freestyle 1:11.80 (smashing the former record by almost eight seconds) and Willoughby Perriss under 18-20 boys 100m freestyle 1:19.63 (beating older brother Archimede’s record by three seconds).
When points were added at the end of the day, Shenfield Blue took first place with 254 points, with Glenfyne Gold runners-up on 202 and Tandarook Red third on 176.
Age group champions were as follows:
Under 13 – Cooper Daffy and Charli Robbins;
Under 14 – Broly Henderson and Olivia Benson;
Under 15 – Hayden Chamberlain;
Under 16 – Bodhi Crole and Tabitha Perriss;
Under 17 – Jesse Wason and Lillyanna Mahoney; and
Under 18-20 – Willoughby Perriss and Abbey Robbins.
