TERANG College sisters Lynley and Jackenzie Sharp have each won bronze at this year’s SSV State Swimming Championships.

The siblings travelled to the Melbourne Sports and Acquatic Centre for last Friday’s competition.

Both performed exceptionally well in the pool, with Lynley finishing third overall in the 12-14 year girls 50 metre multi-class backstroke, while Jackenzie took bronze in the 12-14 year girls 50 metre multi-class freestyle.
Lynley touched first in her backstroke and Jackenzie touched second in freestyle.

In swimming the multi-class point score system is used to determine overall placings.

The swimmers time is compared to the world record or similar for their specific disability and event to create a score.

Results and overall placings are then determined by using the scores achieved.
