Golf was slow to hit the scoreboard and was 22 shots down after just eight ends played.

They outscored Winchelsea after that but finally went down by 13 shots, 86-99.

In front of a huge crowd of supporters the Magpies, who finished third on the ladder, can be proud of their efforts throughout the year.

With a lot of first and second year bowlers in the team, they can look forward to the future with a lot of confidence.

Golf managed to win one of the four rinks played.

Paul Richards’ rink of Wayne Henry, Taj Merrett and Greg Molan had a great day winning their rink over David Littler 30-19.

Leanne Fitzgerald’s rink of Kevin Russell, Sam Whytcross and Ray Bateman went down to Ian Holmes 16-32.

Chris McLeod’s rink of Terry Place, Mark Winsall and Greg Edwards fought hard all day but went down to Peter Lewry’s rink 18-21.

Michael Brebner’s rink of Algie White, Andrew Anderson and James Henry also battled hard all day and went down to Geoff Hately’s rink 22-27.

Camperdown Golf’s Division four (3) team travels to Colac Lakes tomorrow to take on Winchelsea in the grand final.

These teams have met three times this season with Golf winning all three.

Golf won round two by five shots, round nine by 29 shots and the second semi-final by five shots and will go into tomorrow’s final with a lot of confidence.
