SLUGS saluted the judges for the first time for a few weeks in round 5 of Corangamite volleyball.
They defeated Ballbusters who continued their recent poor form, losing also to Stallions.
While down in confidence, Ballbusters can turn things around very quickly.
Cooriemungle Bulls have now lost touch with top position after suffering two bad losses while their nemesis Stallions are making strong inroads into the top four. As reigning premiers, they were always likely to make their presence felt at the pointy end of the season.
Poachers have stretched their lead over the competition but they should not get too complacent. One bad night can be very costly and injury is always a factor in the fortunes of the team which has at
least four players carrying niggling physical concerns.
