Smith takes win
THE final round of the 2024 race season proved a winning one for Simpson Speedway, with spectators and drivers enjoying clear skies and good race conditions.

Last Sunday’s twilight meeting saw pro sprintcars, speedcars and super rods take to the track from mid-afternoon.
Jacob Smith proved too strong in the main of the pro sprintcars, finishing ahead of Matthew Symons while Michael Tancredi crossed the line for third.
The 20-lap final of the speedcars saw Kaleb Currie take the chequered flag from Kaidon Brown in second and Nick Parker in third.
Once again the super rods provided plenty of on-track action throughout the night, with Jamie May taking line honours in the Super Rod Anzac Cup, closely followed by Stan Marco Junior in second and Jacob Pitcher third.
