TRAINS kept a rollin’ on the Warrnambool line during July with V/Line performance results showing solid results.

A total of 90.5 per cent of trains reached their destination within V/Line’s punctuality window of within 11 minutes of scheduled arrival, falling 1.5 per cent shy of the monthly punctuality target.

A reliability performance result of 92.1 per cent was recorded on the month, falling below the 96 per cent performance target.

While V/Line missed both performance targets, the results equate to 18 out of 228 scheduled services replaced by coaches for the month.

This result marked an improvement of more than two per cent compared with the previous month.

On punctuality, a total of 19 services of the 228 scheduled services in July were delayed.

A V/Line spokesperson said delays and coach replacements were caused by a mix of train and infrastructure faults.

“We are focused on delivering safe, comfortable and reliable services for passengers on the Warrnambool line and continue to work hard to identify further areas of performance improvement,” the spokesperson said.

“While performance results were lower than normal in July, the results represent a small number of disrupted services, which were affected by unrelated incidents.”
