South West wins hockey bronze
CORANGAMITE Hockey Club was well represented at the recent junior state hockey championships.
Under 14 bronze medal winners, South West Eagles.
During the July school holidays several players travelled to Shepparton and Bendigo to compete in the event, representing the South West Eagles.
Ava Cunningham, Taliyah Bishop and Seth Symons competed in the under 16 competition while Akeisha Bishop and Noah Boyd played in the under 14s.
Under 12 players Zoe Symons, Maisie Cunningham, Mateo Boyd, Annabelle Absolom, Henry Wilkinson and Harmoney Bishop.
Henry Wilkinson, Mateo Boyd, Maisie Cunningham, Annabelle Absolom, Harmoney Bishop and Zoe Symons each competed in the under 12 competition.
The under 14 boys’ team finished third in the tournament.
Well done to all players – training and dedication has certainly paid off.
