LOCALS and their pets have a chance to get into the Halloween spirit.

Hampden Vets is hosting a Spooky Pets dress up competition.

The free and fun community competition allow pets – big or small – to get involved.

“All of the partners here have children and pets so we are definitely getting ready for some Halloween fun,” Hampden Vet partner Xavier McKinnon said.

“We hope to see a few horses and cows in the mix.. really any pet who likes to dress up is welcome to get involved.”

Entrants will go in the running for a swag of prizes on offer which includes:

• First prize – $300 Hampden Vets services, $50 All Seasons Nursery Voucher, $50 Kmart voucher, $50 family Cinema pass, 10 rides on Cobden Trains and more to be announced;

• Second prize: annual pet health check and vaccination, $20 Kmart voucher, two cinema passes, 10 rides on Cobden Trains and more; and

• Third, Fourth and Fifth Prize: $50 worth of pet products and $10 Kmart voucher.

To enter simply dress up your pet in a spooky Halloween outfit – join them if you wish.

Like the event page “Hampden Vets Spooky Pets Dress Up competition’ and tag them on Facebook or email photos to be included.

Finalists will be announced the day after Halloween on November 1.
