Spooky times

CAMPERDOWN’S Manifold Street was home to a host of visiting witches, vampires and plastic spiders as traders last week celebrated Friday the 13th.
The avenue was alive with all things spooky and exciting as traders dressed in costumes, shop windows were decorated and the broom parking outside Benallack’s was near capacity.
Twenty-five excited children walked the streets collecting letters from the windows of participating businesses to unscramble the phrase ‘huge bubbling cauldrons.’
Congratulations to the lucky prize winners Hudson (Sweet Giftz hamper), Nash (Benallack’s footy pack), Savannah (little Pharmacy and Shoe Shop voucher), Charli/Georg (costume from Joker’s Fancy Dress) and Matilda (costume from Joker’s).
“It really was a fun day and it was great to see so many businesses get involved,” Benallack’s Sports owner Michelle Elijah said.
“The photo booth was popular as was the roaming vampire who handed out lollies to the kids.”
