COBDENHEALTH was awash with yellow last week for Daffodil Day.

Cobdenhealth leisure and lifestyle co-ordinator Sue Loving said all of the residents dressed in a touch of yellow for the day.

“They gave a gold coin donation to the Cancer Council,” she said.

“We decorated the dining areas with lots of daffodil’s and balloons.”

Daffodil Day is all about raising vital funds for Cancer Council’s life-saving cancer research.

The slogan for this year’s Daffodil Day was ‘For all that cancer takes, give it your all.

Cancer Council Victoria’s head of fundraising Lyrian Fleming-Parsley said cancer “takes so much from all of us”.

“By giving this Daffodil Day, we can help stop cancer from taking so much,” she said.

“We can give for all the people who’ve been affected by a cancer diagnosis whether that’s you, or someone close to you.

“Giving, that’s what Daffodil Day is all about.”

All donations and funds raised through Daffodil Day will directly fund cancer research projects across Australia, helping save lives and bringing us closer to a cancer-free future.

It is not to late to support Daffodil Day, donation can be made at www.daffodilday.com.au or calling 1300 65 65 85.

This year marked 37 years of Daffodil Day.
