St Pat’s students perform

OVER two days St Patrick’s Primary School hosted a production full of magic and excitement earlier this month.

More than 200 people turned out to watch the school production over three shows.

The show dubbed – AbracaDABra – was written and choreographed by artist-in-residence Kristy McKenzie.

The show starred Georgie (Greta Darcy) and her friends, Quaver (Tatum Courtney), DJ (Aidan Vallejo), Aria (Kiara Love), Krumper (Joel Hinkley) and Dougie (Archer Blomfield).

Georgie and her friends journey to find her magic power, meeting Fairy One (Kara Bell) and Fairy Two (Madison Lucas) along the way.

They also met some Mermaids (Ava Bonner and Madison Lucas), with Hocus (Jess MacDonald) and Pocus (Sasha Kerr) telling Georgie her power by the end, the powerof music.

All students participated in class dances choreographed to hip hop music.

Some of the dances featured were a stampede of unicorns, dragons and their flames, a group of leprechauns, and a galaxy of stars, followed by a wonderful singing performance by the choir and cast.

The show concluded with all grade 5-6 students and staff completing a dance number.

The cast thanked director Kristy McKenzie, Mary Bell who organised the sound, Rachel Lucas the singing coach, Team Sinnott made up of Gemma Mahony, Hannah Plozza and Mel Simmonds in charge of costumes, makeup, and making everyone look fabulous and lastly Father Neville for allowingthe school to use the church as its venue.
