KATE Jubb has become the firstfemale handler to win the CopRice Victorian State Yard Dog Championship.
Following on from last weekend’s victory, Kate will now go on to represent Victoria at the Australian yard dog championships in 2023.
Competitors from all around Victoria, Tasmania and New South Wales converged on the Hexham course to compete for the championship.
Sixty-seven dogs competed in the first round before judges announced the top 25 highest scores.
“Those 25 dogs then completed a second round and the top 10 went on to round three – their scores from all three rounds were added and the overall winner announced,” event organiser Ros Reynolds said.
“It was a great weekend which provided spectators with some great viewing. We’re all extremely proud of Kate and wish her the very best for the Australian title.”
