ALL roads lead to the Hexham Equestrian Centre next month for the CopRice Victorian State Yard Dog Trial.

Five classes will be contested over three days – December 9, 10 and 11 – attracting a quality field of entrants from all over Victoria, Tasmania, South Australia and New South Wales.

According to event coordinator, Ros Reynolds, the event will showcase some of the country’s best working dogs.

“Going by the number and standard of entries received, we will have three great days of competition and spectators are very welcome,” Ros said.

“The top 25 will run on Sunday afternoon, culminating with the crowning of the Victorian State Champion after three rounds of competition.”

The first and second place getters will represent Victoria in the Australian yard Dog Championships in April.

A coffee van will be on-site throughout the competition and catering will be provided by the Woorndoo Cricket Club.

Although entries have closed, anyone wanting further information on the event can contact Ros Reynolds on 0417 558 002.
