CORANGAMITE hockey teams are continuing to show great skills on the field.

Round four of the under 12 Hockey 5s competition saw both Corangamite teams, Volcanoes (blue) and Comets (purple) come home with a win.

There were also several first-time goal scorers in both games and it was good to see team-work and skill development improve each week.

In the under 16 Hockey South West games, persistent rain made for a cold night of hockey.

Despite the bad weather, the games were consistently competitive and this resulted in thrilling passages of play.

The Lakers were defeated by Technique 1-5. Well done to Noah scoring in a short corner.

Craters lost to Mariners Hockey Club 0-4. The team had many shots at goal but unfortunately they didn't hit the mark.

Best players: Lakers - Oliver, Lachie and Quinn; Craters - Brady, Charlotte andTavish.

Lots of goals were saved with both team's goalies named in the best.

Corangamite’s women’s team was matched up against Submariners in Warrnambool.

Megan, Mel, Cath (GK) Amelia, Olivia and Kayla battled it out in a great game.

Scores were four-all at three-quarter time before Subbies snuck in a couple of quick goals to take the lead.

Corangamite finished with a quick goal on the siren, but it wasn’t quite enough to defeat Subbies.
