NOORAT’S division three cricketers are showing good form at the business end of the home and away season.
The team, which overcame second-placed Simpson last weekend, are sitting comfortable in third spot on the South West ladder with just two rounds remaining before finals.
Noorat travelled to Simpson last Saturday where they showed form with the bat to finish the day on 8/204, while restricting the home side to 166.
A fine knock from lower order batsman Tom Clissold added an unbeaten 75 runs to the scoreboard.
Clissold’s innings included a six and seven fours.
He was well supported by Max Heffernan on 28.
Clissold continued his form with the ball, taking 3/40.
In division one last weekend, Noorat took advantage of its home ground, defeating Woorndoo by 127 runs.
Opener David Conheady hit a season-high 85, which included eight boundaries.
Stephen O’Connor also batted well, contributing 52, while Jacob Fishwick added 32.
Best of the bowlers for the home side were Fishwick with 5/24 off eight and Gus Bourke 3/7 off seven (which included two maidens).
