KOLORA Noorat moved a game clear of Allansford on the Warrnambool District ladder with a handy 71-point victory over the Cats last weekend.

Now sitting in fourth, just a game behind Panmure and second-placed Nirranda, the Power is making its mark in the top four at the half-way point of the season.

Playing in front of a home crowd at Noorat last Saturday, the Power got off to a strong start kicking four goals four in the first term while containing the visitors to just one behind.

The second term was a low-scoring affair, with neither side able to make any big changes to the board.

The home side put the foot down in the third term and showed accuracy in front of goals to boot five straight while the Cats again struggled to make any real impression.

Final scores were Kolora Noorat 14.9.93 to Allansford 3.4.22.

Tom McKenzie, Benjamin Moloney, Justin Wallace, Declan Barbary and Joel Dillon were named in the best for the home side while goals went to Paddy Baker, Declan Barbary, Lucas Boyd, Charlie Scanlon and Darcy Vick (two each), Fred Beasley, Caleb Kavanagh, Ben Moloney and Sam Uwland.

The Powers’ reserves sit a game outside the top five, in seventh place, following last weekend’s 24-point loss to the Cats.

Final scores were Kolora Noorat 4.7.31 to Allansford 8.7.55.

Best for the home side were Paul McSween, Jack Carlin, Nathan Gee, Sean Battistello, Bohdie Gill and Marc Guy.

Goals went to Nicholas Castersen, Dale Evans, Nathan Glennen and Marc Guy.

Earlier in the day, Kolora Noorat’s under 18s continued their unbeaten run, defeating Allansford by 14-points.

Final scores were Kolora Noorat 5.11.41 to Allansford 4.3.27.

Best for the Power were Ted Kenna, Oscar Curran, Caleb Kavanagh, Lucas Castersen, Fraser Guthrie and Ben Carlin.

Goals went to Jack Pekin (3), Bohdie Gill and Isaac Cootesmith.

It was a mixed bag of results for the Power on the netball courts, with two wins from six games played.

A grade – Kolora Noorat defeated Allansford 66-33.

A reserve- Allansford defeated Kolora Noorat 29-16.

B grade – Allansford defeated Kolora Noorat 26-21.

17 and under – Allansford defeated Kolora Noorat 22-12.

15 and under – Allansford defeated Kolora Noorat 47-14.

13 and under – Kolora Noorat defeated Allansford 14-12.
