THE inaugural Sunday Funday in Cobden has been dubbed a success.

From vintage machinery to a motor show, an abundance of pets and even a gumboot toss competition, there was something for everything.

Held at the Cobden Pioneer Park and encompassing the wider racecourse reserve precinct there were people out and about enjoying what was on offer.

Organiser Misty Angus was pleased with how Sunday Funday went, with the day also marking 25 years of the Cobden Pioneer Park.

“It was an amazing day,’ she said.

“There was a great turnout and unbelievably good weather.

“It was so good to see so many people out and about in Cobden.”

Mrs Angus said there were over 60 entries in the motor show from across the district.

More than 50 people lined up to try their luck in the gumboot toss event and the pet parade attracted a wide variety of entrants which included dogs, lizards and chickens.

The build-a-bucket showbag was popular with attendees and included a wide range of items from sponsors.

Ms Angus thanked all those involved.

“We are going to get together and start to work out our exciting plans for next year,” she said.
