Support for student program
ROTARY clubs continue to support the Defy the Drift program.

Rotary Club of Cobden member Gary Kimber said Defy the Drift sees rural students get the opportunity to have a weekend of activities at Longerenong College.
“The idea is to encourage students to consider a rural career in one of many agricultural possibilities,” he said.
“Students also focus on goal setting, time management and various other life skills.
“The program is a wonderful
chance for rural students to help set their future.”
Mr Kimber said the Rotary Club of Cobden was proud to sponsor Cobden Technical School student Allan Warden.
He said Allan has a “real passion for agricultural pursuits”.
“Allan has various sheep around town that he looks after,” Mr Kimber said.
“He is very excited to be part of the program and even wants to have his own farm.
“Cobden Rotary is proud to be part of this adventure and always supports youth activities.”
