Swimmers do Derri’ proud
FOUR Derrinallum P-12 College students took their swimming to the next level when they travelled to the Greater Western Regional (GWR) swimming carnival in Horsham on Friday, March 18.

FOUR Derrinallum P-12 College students took their swimming to the next level when they travelled to the Greater Western Regional (GWR) swimming carnival in Horsham on Friday,March 18.
Jake Burleigh, Lorelai Henderson, Taylor Monahan and Kyro Samson-Johnson won through their local school swimming sports before placing in the GWR Mortlake meet and earning a spot at the Horsham event.
Jake secured two podium finishes from his four events, coming second in butterfly and third in backstroke.
Lorelai was eighth-fastest in both butterfly and breastroke, while Kyro came seventh in backstroke and Taylor’s relay team competed well in their event.
Derrinallum College sports coordinator Daniel Missen said it was an amazing experience for the students and extended his thanks to all the supportive parents who helped make the day possible for the school’s swimmers.
