T20 season concludes
AFTER a rain-interrupted Twenty20 season, Woorndoo finished with two wins on the board.
Their final round, played last Saturday at Lakes Oval, saw the Tigers face Camperdown.
Having lost the toss and sent in to bat, the visitors finished their innings on 6/117.
Jacob Gray was the best of the batsmen, managing 27 runs from 26 balls in an innings that included four boundaries.
Grant Cameron and Jacob Fowler also struck the ball well, both contributing 20 runs each to the tally, with Cameron’s knock including two boundaries and a six.
In reply Camperdown managed 3/119 in the 18th over with John Reed the side’s top scorer with 45 from 43 balls which included six boundaries and a six.
Opener Dominic Abasalom, bowled by Grant Cameron, also proved threatening at the crease with a quick 35 runs.
