LOCALS posting a parcel or picking up their mail might notice some changes at the Cobden Post Office.
Contractors are expected to start works on the installation of a Tatts outlet at the post office from this week.
With the closure of the Cobden Newsagency over the weekend, Angie Hunter and Paula Poole have purchased the Tatts outlet from Andrew and Karen McConachy.
The pair said the outlet, which will be located within the Cobden Post Office, will be known as AP Lotto.
Ms Hunter said she begins training in early July and is looking forward to the start of the business.
“We will be open Saturday morning as well to offer the tattslotto between 9am and 12noon,” she said.
“We’ve also advertised for extra staff which is positive.”
Ms Poole said installation was hoped to be completed within four to six weeks.
“We’re looking forward to it being in and going,” she said.
“We’re just happy its staying in town."
“It will be good.”
