LAST weekend’s home game win over Portland was extra special for two young Camperdown players.
Talented under 18.5 team-mates Wilba Cheeseman and Brock Stephens ran out for their senior debut for the Magpies at Leura Oval on Saturday afternoon.
According to the club, both teenagers "held their own” on the ground, playing pivotal roles in the team’s 48-point win.
Wilba and Brock have both had a great year in the 18s to date, earning themselves a call-up to seniors.
Last Saturday’s clash with the Tigers saw Brock play in the back pocket while Wilba played at half forward and on the wing.
The pair join a growing list of youngsters who have earned a call-up to the side, with under 18.5 team-mates Myles Sinnott, Luke Kavenagh and Jonty Lafferty also lining up for Camperdown’s senior side this season.
