Terang bowlers finals bound
TWO Terang Bowling Club teams have earned their spots in preliminary finals.
In Saturday’s semi-finals, division two had a nail-biting finish to win by just two points, division three had an easier win, while the division five team unfortunately had to bow out of the finals after being on top of the ladder for much of the season.
Division 2 Terang Blue 59 def Lawn Red 57.
Denis Delaney (s), Trevor Rees, Justin Staunton and Jamie Heffernan def R. Treweek 25-19.
Dan Morrison (s), Barry Stonehouse, Jack Fowler and Andrew Taylor drew with I. Prout 17-all.
Graeme Downie (s), Ron Mills, Ros Ross and Pat O'Connor lost to M. Brown 17-21.
Division 3 Terang Red 70 def City Yellow 50.
Noel Uebergang, John Gherashe, Terry Heffernan and Glen Newton def B. McGennan 18-16.
P. Templeton (s), Jean Fidge, Greg Wynd and Brian Kenna drew with A. Taylor 19-all.
Patrick Reid (s), Jim Whitehead, Darren Henriksen and Dawn Hilton def T. Arundell 33-15.
In division 5 Terang White 27 lost to Warrnambool Maroon 57.
Ray Bond (s), Maureen Bond, Erle Dakin and Paul Grayland lost to P. Hayes 15-22.
Alex Bell (s), John Milroy, Norm Wynd and Des Hilton lost to B. Furnell 12-33.
In Saturday’s preliminary finals Terang Blue plays City White and Terang Red plays City Green.
Both teams will play at Warrnambool and the teams are unchanged.
