ANOTHER wet round of golf this week saw only fourteen holes playable.

Thursdays were traditionally ladies’ competition day but have become an event open to all members.

This week the men made the best advantage of the heavy conditions in a stableford competition.

Terry Beasley took the winners honours with 24 points.

Aileen Clarke has returned from a couple of months caravanning up north and was able to adapt well to the colder conditions, carding a score of 22 points on a count-back from Jo Arundell.

Great to see Nick Marshall back on the course after all his coaching commitments with Kolora Noorat football. Well done on nearest the pin on the eleventh hole.

Billy Wood continues to show skill around the greens with a nearest the pin on the 7th.

This Saturday we are aiming to once again have a shotgun start for our Saturday comp.

It will be a 10am for 10.30am start, drawing cards for the playing groups.

Of course, if you need to play earlier or later you can still do this. Please continue to use book a tee.

Remember that we have gained a number of new members of recent years and not all are locals. A shotgun start will help to meet our new members.
