The gift of reading
MEMBERS of the Cobden Rotary Club continue to give the gift of reading.
Literacy: Cobden Rotary Club members Lesley Brown and Gary Kimber surprised Simpson Kindergarten children with a new book as part of an ongoing rotary initiative.
Club member Gary Kimber said Cobden Rotary, as part of its commitment to supporting local youth, have recently given all of the kindergarten children from Cobden, Timboon and Simpson their own copy of The Very Hungry Caterpillar.
“The kids at Simpson Kinder were really excited and invited Rotarians Lesley and myself to stay and work with them on various activities,” he said.
“A terrific time was had by everyone and Rotary is proud to be involved in these youth projects.”
