Thirty players at Cobden comp’
THIRTY players contested the monthly medal (stroke) and putting competition at the Cobden Golf Club last Saturday.
D. Absalom won A grade with a score of net 72 while D. Bath was runner-up on net 76.
B grade went to N. Simmonds on 68 while S. Mahony was runner-up on 80.
Nearest the pins: 4th A. Holster, 7th N. Simmonds, 10th C. Sargeant, closest second on the second N. Simmonds and closest on the 14th was A. Stevens.
The monthly medal went to N. Simmonds on net 68 while putting went to D. Absalom, D. Beard and A. Giles on 31 putts.
Balls down the line: D. Beard, J. Walker, S. Rix and A. Giles.
This weekend, August 10, will be privilege pot (stableford).
Mulligans was played by 14 competitors in sunny but fresh conditi9ons last Wednesday.
The winner was Sherine Healey with 35 points, followed by Ev Boyd on 33 points.
Nearest the pin: A grade – 4th Di Adams, 10th Pat Tickner; B grade – 4th and 10th Marie Smith; C grade – 4th Carmel Darcy.
Second shot on the 8th went to Jo Hintum in C grade.
Balls down the line – Di Adams on 32 points.
