Currently sitting fourth on the Mininera ladder, the Tigers are only percentage above fifth placed Penshurst and a game behind Lismore Derrinallum in third.
Heading in to round 10, the Tigers are sitting on a 7:2 win/loss ratio, having also recorded a forfeit against Tatyoon in round five (due to Covid heavily impacting availability).
Last weekend’s 30-point win over Glenthompson Dunkeld saw the Tigers hold on to fourth spot.
Playing away at Glenthompson, the Tigers got off to a slow start, giving the Rams a two goal lead at the first break.
The second quarter saw the visitors add just one goal, one behind while the home side piled on a further two goals three to go into the main break 20 points up.
But the Tigers rallied in the third term, restricting their opposition to just three points while adding five goals, four behinds to the board.
A further six goals in the final quarter saw the Tigers run out 30-point victors.
Final scores Woorndoo Mortlake 14.7.91 defeated Glenthompson Dunkeld 8.13.61.
Best for the Tigers were Haydn Templeton, Damien Pemberton, Matthew Pemberton, Sam Gervasoni and Timothy Ackerley.
Goal scorers: Jesse Horan (5), Matthew Pemberton (2), Scott Addinsall and Simon Atkinson.
In the reserves, the Tigers were unable to match it with the Rams for the full four quarters, going down 5.12.42 to 9.6.60.
Best for the Tigers were Mitch Walsh, Geordie MacDonald, Sean Sullivan, Jake Carmichael and William Kosch.

The Tigers will take on Moyston Willaura at Woorndoo this Saturday.
