Timboon Christmas draws crowd
TIMBOON was a hive of activity on Friday, with special guest Santa making an appearance via a tractor to the delight of youngsters in the crowd.
TIMBOON was a hive of activity on Friday, with special guest Santa making an appearance via a tractor to the delight of youngsters in the crowd.
The event was the first for the new-look Timboon Action committee and has been described as a success by committee president Heather Martin.
“It went really well,” she said.
“We estimated about 300 to 400 people.
“We’re definitely pleased with how it went.”
From dancing to carols and face painting as well as a jumping castle and fairy floss – there was plenty to do and see.
“The fact that we brought it together so quickly is amazing,” Ms Martin said.
“We were absolutely stoked with the community support.
“The feedback I’ve had is people were pleased there was an event on in Timboon again.
“We wanted to make it a free event for the community.”
Ms Martin said the committee was looking forward to next year’s event and building on the success achieved this year.
“We’ve got some exciting ideas for next year,” she said.
