Timboon Fete draws a crowd

THE annual Timboon Uniting Church Fete was held over the weekend.

Timboon Uniting Church Council secretary Brenda Parfett described the popular annual event as a “successful day”.

“Timboon Uniting Church Council would like to thank the community for its support of our annual fete,” she said.

“Tables were laden from cakes, sponges, slices, lamingtons, biscuits, also preserves of jams and chutney, to fresh fruit and vegetables of rhubarb, lemons, tomatoes, cucumbers, apples and many more.

“A plant stall was laden with perfect maidenhair plants, succulents and geraniums.”

Mrs Parfett said attendees were able to enjoy Devonshire tea with scones cooked by the Timboon Uniting Church’s “talented ladies”.

She said there was also a bric-a-brac stall with anything you wanted or didn’t want .

Mrs Parfett said the fete also saw books sold, with attendees able to view a Thermomix demonstration.
