Timboon Lions Club Notes
DESPITE many of our members being away at this time of year, those of us still at home have managed to carry out a busy program of service to the community.

Early in March just about all of us who were not away ran a Bunnings barbeque at Warrnambool. As well as the obvious fundraising aspect of this activity, it provided a great occasion for members to socialise together as a club.
Later in March we held what has become our usual Beach Treasure Hunt for children as part of the Port Campbell annual Cray Fish Festival.
Members of the Surf Club gave us their much appreciated help and, needless to say, the function turned out to be the popular and successful event it always is.
Timboon residents and visitors will have noticed that the club has already held the first of its monthly wood raffles outside Timboon IGA.
It was won by Sue Wilson. She kindly donated her winnings to Judith Murphy who has a wood fire.
Many thanks also go to all those who bought tickets or who purchased Lions cakes and mints from our stall. This month lion Nellie Richards will be offering an additional raffle for a beautiful Mothers Day rug she has made.
Corangamite Council has commissioned us to distribute tidy bags again this year so householders will notice us at work doing this.
Also during May we are looking forward to catering at a Land Care barbeque on the green in front of their shop.
