Timboon parkrun marks 250th
TIMBOON parkrun celebrated a special milestone recently.

TIMBOON parkrun celebrated a special milestone recently.
The popular weekly event has officially notched up its 250th event.
Eighteen people braved the wet, wild and windy conditions on the morning, to run, jog or walk the course.
Of the 18 in attendance, three were first timers and one recorded a new personal best
The day was also a special individual milestone to Lindsay Wylie who completed his 200th parkrun.
Attendees on the day were encouraged to dress in green to mark the occasion.
Throughout the 250 parkrun events at Timboon there have been 1573 finishers who have notched up 10,440 finishes.
Two-hundred-and-thirty-two volunteers have contributed to the free event, which is completely volunteer run.
Whether you run, jog or walk – it us up to the individual – but 1290 personal best’s have been achieved on the course which takes in the popular Camperdown-Timboon Rail Trail.

Timboon parkrun begins at 8am sharp, with event briefing from 7.50am at the Timboon playground.
