Sam was presented with the Grey Wolf Award late last month, which is the highest award in the Cub Scout section.

1st Cobden Scout Cub leader Justin Keane congratulated Sam on his achievements.

He said as part of achieving the special award, Sam had to complete a day hike along the Great Ocean Walk.

“He had to plan and lead more than six different activities for the cubs,” Mr Keane said.

“He also had to do a certain amount of personal development projects.”

Mr Kean said Sam should be proud of his efforts.

“It’s the highest award that a Cub can earn,” he said.

“It’s the first Grey Wolf Award Cobden has presented since 2015.”

Mr Kean said a Powerpoint presentation was shown during the presentation highlighting Sam’s achievements.

He said Corangamite Shire councillor Jo Beard, as well as Sam’s assistant school principal at the Camperdown College attended the presentation.

Cubs meet at the Cobden Scout Hall each Monday between 6pm and 7.30pm.
