TOPS welcomes a new volunteer
FAMILIAR faces at Timboon Opportunity Shop (TOPS) might have noticed a new face recently.
Warm welcome: Timboon Opportunity Shop’s newest volunteer Carol Barnett and shop co-ordinator Brenda Parfett.
Carol Barnett said she had been living in Timboon for over 30 years, and having spent much of her working career outside of the town, she decided she didn’t know many people in Timboon.
She said volunteering at TOPS was a way to connect with the community.
“I don’t really know a lot of people and I came into the shop one day looking for something for my husband and decided to volunteer,” Mrs Barnett said.
“I thought I’d like to give something back.
“I think it’s a great place to volunteer.”
TOPS co-ordinator Brenda Parfett welcomed the newest volunteer at the shop and thanked all who continue to support the shop.
