Tough day on the court
THE 2024 finals campaign came to an end for Simpson’s D grade netballers last weekend.
The Tigers fought hard against Irrewarra-Beeac in last Sunday’s semi-final of the Colac and District League but went down by five goals, 22-27.
Kellie Meade, Brianna Ferrari and Bernadette Bellman were named in the team’s best.
Simpson’s reserve footballers went down to Alvie in last Saturday’s semi-final at Colac, 5.4.34 to 9.7.61.
They will now face Irrewarra-Beeac in this Saturday’s preliminary final.
Best for the Tigers last weekend were Tanner Fratantaro, Matthew Rhode, Sam Rial, Cody Mason, Brayden Hawkes and Jamie Barry.
Brodie Neale kicked two goals for the side while Luke Kensit, Sam Rial and David Weel each contributed one.
