WET weather resulted in a drawn match between Terang and Camperdown in division one cricket last weekend.

According to Terang senior coach Tyson Hay, ground unavailability after recent wet weather saw last Saturday’s game recorded as a draw, with points to be split between the two clubs.

In division three, Terang 9/110 lost to Noorat 149.

Best with the bat for the Goats were Tyson Royal 23, Paul Hay 13 not out and George Beasley 13 not out.

Best of the bowlers for the Goats were Charlie Scanlon 5/22 off eight overs and N. Edgar 2/19 off 4.3 overs.

This Saturday, Terang’s division one side will host Cobden in a game Hay said would be a “tight contest.”

“Cobden is playing some really good cricket at the moment and their batters are performing well so we’re expecting it to be a tight one,” Hay said.

“We just need to stick to our game plan and the results will come. With a couple of fine days on the horizon leading up to Saturday, I’m confident our ground will be right for game day.”
