CURRENTLY sitting eighth on the Hampden League netball ladder, Camperdown’s Open side is looking to snatch a few wins in the back half of the season.

Leading in to last weekend’s bye round, the Open side had three wins on the board and remains hopeful of adding a few more in the coming rounds.

They will face Cobden this weekend before taking on Portland and Port Fairy – two games Sinnott believes are “winnable” for the Pies.

“We enjoyed wins against Portland in round four and then Port Fairy the following weekend so that certainly gives us a little more confidence going into those games,” Sinnott said.

“It would probably take a few miracles for us to sneak into the five and play finals but in saying that we are certainly capable of making those sides work hard for their positions and even affect the position of other teams on the ladder.”

Camperdown will head to Cobden this weekend to take on the Bombers – a clash they always look forward to.

“The Bombers are a good side and it will be another tough one for us,” Sinnott said.

The Magpies lost to Cobden by 23 goals in round three and Sinnott will no doubt be keen to see how her young chargers go this weekend.

They will then have a tough run home, facing Koroit, Warrnambool and Hamilton before their final round against North Warrnambool.
