TREASURE hunters were out in force in Camperdown over the weekend.

The annual Celebrate Christmas in Camperdown was held over two days, with participating businesses having extended trading to allow for Christmas shopping.

As well as finding those last minute bargains, youngsters were able to go on a treasure hunt with prizes to be won.

Benallack’s Sports owner Michelle Elijah, who organised the popular event, said she was “stoked” with how it went with people coming from far and wide.

“It was the biggest year we’ve had; it was amazing,” she said.

“We gave out 270 Sinclair Wilson bags, with 191 entries received.

“Everyone commented that the street was alive and there was so much happening.

“There was lots of people from out of town which was really good.”

Ms Elijah thanked the businesses involved in the Celebrate Christmas Camperdown event.

• Bike – Chase;

• Lolly hamper – Wren;

• Bluey Pack – Madison;
