U3A returns after break

UNIVERSITY of the Third Age (U3A) Corangamite has recommenced its programs after a winter break.

Group spokesperson Gary Kimber said one of the most popular programs was Mahjong.

“We have three groups playing this fascinating and mind extending game - in Cobden, Timboon and Derrinallum,” he said.

“Our Cobden group, courtesy of their hosts, the Cobden Golf Club had lots of fun as well as “serious competition” last week.

“New players are welcome to join any of the groups.”

Mr Kimber said other activities which U3A provide include Scrabble, Cribbage, Travel Tales, short walks and bike rides, Trivia, Book Clubs, Mindfulness, China Painting, monthly cafe/restaurant visits and sessions for interesting speakers and visits to local places.

He said activities are held all over the shire.
