Van Diemen wins stableford
WITH a score of 38 points, Richard van Diemen took out the stableford event at Mortlake golf course last Saturday.
The runner-up was Gary Glossop on 36 points, followed by Paul
Wareham 34 on countback.
Nearest the pins: 3/12 Dougal Ranken and 9/18 Glen Byers.
Balls down the line went to Gary Glossop, Paul Wareham, Steve Hubbard and Kurt Robertson.
The nine-hole twilight last Friday was won by Kevin Etherton 4-27-33 on countback from Peter West 20-53-33.
Third went to Richard van Diemen on 9-43-34 with Peter Palmer taking nearest the pin.
Last Friday’s vets’ day was won by Peter West (31) nett 42 from runner-up Bruce Twaddle (25) nett 44.
Nearest the pins were Peter Palmer and Kevin Etherton.
Next week’s event will be a 4BBB stableford.
A reminder of a special event, a three-person ambrose, on Saturday December 23.
This will be an 11am shotgun start and is $90 per team.
