Veteran golfers head to Birregurra

MEMBERS of the Corangamite Veteran Golf Association headed to Birregurra for a round last week.

Players took to the course last Tuesday, May 14, where local John Hoiles took out A grade with a score of 32.

Carl Horan from Cobden was runner-up with 32 on a countback. Third place went to Alan White of Camperdown on 31.

B grade was won by Colin Venn from Terang on 35, from Greg Trotter (Colac) 32 on countback.

Birregurra’s Ian Evans won C grade on 41.

Nearest the pin: 2/11 Chris Currington, 3rd Ross Brauer (eagle), 16/15 Tony Eccles (golden hole), 8th Peter Gubbins and 17th Peter Brain.

NAGA – A grade Peter Skene, B grade Steve Grinter and C grade Geoff Webber.
