Veterans golf results

TWENTY-five players enjoyed a stableford event for the Corangamite Veterans’ Golf competition.

The group tackled the Lake Bolac course on Monday, July 22.

The winner of A grade was Les Dawson (Lake Bolac) with a score of 36, followed by Steve Hubbard (Mortlake) 35 on countback from John Bertram (Timboon) 35.

A grade NAGA went to Cobden’s Carl Horan with 24.

B grade was won by Birregurra’s John Lyons on 35, followed by East Framlingham’s Trevor Blacklist 34, Colin Venn (Terang) 33 and Darly Johnston (Cobden) 23.

Nearest the pins: 2/11 Charles Cowell, 8/17 Don Witham (golden hole) and 9/18 Tom Moran (second shot).
