POMBORNEIT has taken out the Colac District Cricket Association’s under 17 girls’ premiership.

The Bulls were victorious in a superb game of cricket at Colac's CMTP Oval on Sunday.

Batting first, Pomborneit's middle order was led by Emily Norman who top scored with a hard hitting 30 from 34 balls, enabling the team to post 6/102 from its 20 overs.

Neave Thompson, with 15 from 16 balls, Lily Van Es with 14 from 21 balls and Jada Mahony with 17 from 23 balls were the other main contributors.

In a see-sawing run chase, Colac often looked on top until wickets fell from the bowling of Emily Norman (2/17 from four overs), Lily Van Es (1/19) and Neave Thompson (1/16 from four overs).

Jada Mahony closed out the game with the final wicket to see Pomborneit take out the inaugural CDCA under 17 girls’ premiership.
