Victory for Bertram
FORTY-six members played a stroke round at the Timboon Golf Club last Saturday.
John Bertram won division one with nett 64 from Mark McKenzie with nett 68 and Rodney Edge on 71.
The division two winner was Rhys Ziegelaar with nett 65, from Terry O’Connor and Mick Smith, both on 71.
Judy Walsh had the best ladies’ score with nett 73 from Debbie Norton with 74.
Nearest the pins: 5th Phillip Brown, 7th Rodney Edge, 10th and 14th Judy Walsh.
The Nutrien ball on the 11th was won by Jamie Norton and Gordon Broderick took the South West Car Care ball on the 13th.
On Thursday, the 12 holes Kazza’s Railway View Hotel chicken day was won by Steve Plozza with 29 points from Tori Ziegelaar with 24.
Nearest the pin was Darryle Beames.
Results from last Wednesday’s gentsomes (drawn partners) event saw Lynne Newton (14) and Biddy Weel (36) 48 points win the day from Nelle Cashmore (18) and Andrea Thompson (214) 46 points.
Balls down the line went to Brett Worrall (12) and Karon McKenzie (23) 45 points.
Nearest the pin on the seventh hole was Nelle Cashmore.
Next Saturday’s event will be stroke for the monthly medals.
