CAMPERDOWN has brought home the Apollo Bay Golf Club’s memorial shield.

Two women’s teams from Camperdown paid a very successful visit to the Apollo Bay club on Monday to compete in the shield event.

The Camperdown 2 team of Maree Finlay, Jeanette Lambell and Chris Farmer won with 93 stableford points.

Jenny Hillman (Cameperdown 1) won the individual A grade with 34 points while Chris Farmer was runner-up in the B grade with 32 points.

On Wednesday a small group of players enjoyed an 18-hole stableford before the rain set in.

Tracey Baker (21) had the best round with 34 points and claimed the second shot nearest the pins on the 9th and 16th holes.

Next week (weather permitting) is another stableford round and Terri Sinnott will be on duty.
