Victory for Plozza
THIRTY-six golfers competed in a stableford round at Timboon Golf Club last Saturday.
A grade was won by Peter Plozza with 42 points from Jeff Costin with 31.
Chris Harkness and Tori Ziegelaar were next with 38 points.
B grade went to Gavin Rundle with 40 points, from Mick Smith 38 and Mark McKenzie 36.
Judy Walsh carded the best ladies’ score with 36 points, followed by Heather Finlayson with 37.
Nearest the pins: 5th Jeff Costin, 7th Tori Ziegelaar, 10th Susanne Wallace, 14th George Watters.
Philip Brown won the Nutrien ball for his second shot to the 11th.
Last Thursday’s 12-hole chicken day was won by Rohan Johns with 35 points while Matt Drayton was the runner-up on 32. Nearest the pin was Peter Plozza.
A stableford event played last Wednesday was won by Karon McKenzie on 40 points followed by Lynne Newton on 37.
Balls down the line went to Michelle Gristede 37 on countback while the nearest the pin on the 13th was won by Glenda Holland.
This Saturday will be a two person ambrose – men, ladies or mixed.
