Volunteers needed for Good Friday Appeal
CAMPERDOWN and district locals are being asked to dig deep for the annual Good Friday Appeal.

CAMPERDOWN and district locals are being asked to dig deep for the annual Good Friday Appeal.
Camperdown appeal co-ordinator Kellie Kempton said the appeal is progressing “full steam ahead” after being cancelled last year due to COVID-19.
She said residents will have a number of opportunities to make a donation this year.
“They can still come along on the day to donate at 269 Manifold Street, Camperdown,” Ms Kempton said.
“Hopefully we have all the CFA brigades all onboard collecting.
“Locals can also head to a virtual tin at www.virtualtinshake.com.au/fundraisers/camperdown.”
Residents who would like to help out collecting in Camperdown have been asked to call in at the collection point at 269 Manifold Street prior to Good Friday as well as contacting the Camperdown Royal Children’s Hospital Good Friday Appeal Facebook page.
“We need people to volunteer to help collect donation,” Ms Kempton said.
“It would be great to have enough collectors to cover the whole town.
“We would love to encourage people to donate their time.”
As well as collections on Good Friday, collection tins will be available from businesses across Camperdown.
Ms Kempton said the community continues to support the event.
“Camperdown businesses and residents have always been supportive,” she said.
“It’s a good cause and people are happyto help.”
Locals will also have the chance to purchase a raffle ticket or two, with tickets being sold from outside the Camperdown Newsagency on Thursday, April 1 from 9am onwards.
There are three prizes on offer, first prize is a handmade single bed quilt donated by Trish O’Leary, second prize is a basket full of Cadbury Easter eggs and third is a hamper of goods.
Tickets are $1 each and the raffle will be drawn on Good Friday.
