CORANGAMITE Shire contractors have installed a new retaining wall near the Cobden Civic Hall.

CORANGAMITE Shire contractors have installed a new retaining wall near the Cobden Civic Hall.
Shire infrastructure projects officer Dean Finlayson said the garden bed retaining wall had been rebuilt.
“The retaining wall was in poor condition and had commenced rotation under the retained weight,” he said.
“Following a structural engineers assessment and recommendations, plans were provided to rebuild the wall with reinforcement and drainage.”
Mr Finlayson said the project cost about $18,0000 and took about two weeks to complete.
